Bad Blood (Latter Day Olympians Bk 1)

Blurb:

BadBloodTori Karacis is a little more than your average private eye. Among other things, her family line may or may not trace back to a drunken liaison between the god Pan and one of the immortal gorgons. It may be just coincidence that her glance can literally stop men in their tracks, or that her family sports enough irregularities to keep the Rialto Bros. Circus in business. Then again, maybe not.

Tori’s debilitating fear of heights has kept her out of the family acrobatic troupe, but her extreme nosiness fits right in with her Uncle Christos’ private investigation business, where she was apprenticing when he disappeared on an Odyssean journey to find himself. Muddling through on her own, she’s reduced to hunting (not stalking, as that would just be weird), brass-bra’d Hollywood agent Circe Holland in order to deliver her a message…only to witness her murder by something that looks like the creature from the black lagoon.

Suddenly, all of her family’s tall tales seem a bit more believable, especially when Apollo—the Apollo out of myth and legend, though now hiding out among humans as a star of stage and screen—appears in her office, looking to hire her. She knows the stories and that tangling with gods never works out well for their human lovers, but she’s drawn to Apollo in a way she can’t resist, even given her feelings for one very hot and hardened cop.

Her love life has to take a backseat to the danger at her door, though it’s a toss-up which will kill her quickest.

Excerpt 1:

“Did you love her?” she blurted out the question that had been burning inside her.

“No.” Cole stalked toward the couch. As the music started, he picked up a remote, pressed a button, and the ceiling opened. A large sheet of glass separated them from the moon, stars, and the night’s glow shone down on them inside Cole’s spacious and luxurious log cabin. “I’ve only loved one.”

“Oh.” Her breath caught as his hand reached over the back of the couch toward her.

“Dance with me.”

Cole folded his fingers around Mia’s hand. Arching their arms, he guided her around the couch and pulled her into his embrace. Folding her hand into his chest, he entwined their limbs and placed them between their bodies. His free hand traveled down her back and came to rest in the dip above her waist as he pulled her closer. “I had hopes to share a nice shower after we’d talked but it turned into wet solitude. I need to be close to you, Mia.”

When he placed his thigh between her legs, her breath hitched. Mia’s eyes traveled across his bare skin, up, until she met his gaze with a shy smile. The anxiety from moments ago was fading with each tiny sway of his hips. When the music entered her ears, a petite giggle escaped. She hadn’t expected Etta James, although, At Last was one of her favorite songs.

“Are you laughing at me, Agent Starr?” The corner of his mouth crinkled with his smile.

“A vampire that likes the blues?”

“We are sad creatures, aren’t we?”

“You’re a good man, Detective.” Her tone was serious, and she squeezed him with reassurance.

“Am I?” He leaned closer to her lips, hovering just above them, making her breath quiver from his nearness.

“Yes.”

“I think I have a few more dances with the devil before I can reclaim my soul and be considered a good man.” His hand slid over her cheek, holding her in place with a heated stare. “But…” At this moment, everything was perfect. He seemed just as affected with her nearness as they stood there listening to the song come to a close. “I’d sell my soul all over again just to have your smile against my lips—for you are mine at last.” He sang the last words in a whisper against her mouth.

Excerpt 2:
CovetPoster2 copyJohn’s decision to come to the turnpike station first had Cole’s fangs edging out. “We should go to the scene, to confirm—” He couldn’t finish the thought. Without his blood inside Mia, he couldn’t be sure, and his entire body was conflicted with doubt. His jaw tightened, and the tip of his fangs poked at the inside of his lip. Removing his clip from his belt, he flicked his thumb underneath the first bullet and ejected it from the clip into his palm. He closed his eyes as the silver burned its shape into his flesh and eased the glow he felt creeping into his eyes. Taking a calming breath, he slid the bullet into his pocket and reattached the clip to his belt.

“Stay calm,” John said, as they walked through the doors to the turnpike substation. Cole responded in a low growl that put John on alert, making his jaw muscle tick.

A young man leaning back in his chair with his feet propped on the table looked up from a set of monitors. “Can I help you?”

“Do you get pictures from the road cameras?” John asked.

“Naw, that’s illegal. The whole “Big Brother” argument. We only monitor them. We get an alert from the radar units on the other poles when a vehicle’s speed registers too low or high and then we check the monitors for trouble.” He smacked his gum with an open mouth chew and turned his attention to Cole as he walked behind the counter. “Sir, you can’t come back here,” he said.

“Are these today’s turnpike tickets?” Cole asked, his jaw set in a tight line.

“You can’t just come back here…”

“Answer the question.”

“I-I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” The young man stammered as he reached toward the phone. Cole’s hand covered his, quickly replacing the phone in its cradle.

“We’re going to have a problem if you don’t answer my question,” Cole said, filling in the space between them. He leveled an assertive gaze at the man.

“Barnett. Back off,” John commanded.

“You-you need some type of warrant or authority to come back here.”

Cole ignored the man and grabbed the tin box from the counter. Pulling out a stack of tickets, he held them to his nose. With a frustrated growl, he threw the stack down and grabbed more from the box. With each stack, he grew more agitated. Picking up the fifth stack, he paused as a familiar scent reached his nose. He breathed deeper and tore through the tickets to pull out the one with Mia’s aroma. It was faint, but it was her scent.

“I need the license plate and the photo of the driver this came from.” Cole held out the ticket to man.

“I can’t do that. I need permission and—”

“Now!”

“Sir, you don’t have the authority…”

Cole snatched his badge from his belt and slammed it on the table in front of the man. “How’s this? No?” Arching a brow at the man’s hesitation his gun followed, slamming down with the same force as the badge. “How about this?”

The man locked into Cole’s deadly gaze. When his eyes widened, Cole knew it was from the glow that had started to appear from behind his irises.

“Still not enough authority for you? How about this!” Cole’s fangs jetted out like a switchblade.

“Holy shit! What kind of cops are you?”

Excerpt:

“No need to feel shy, love. Come on in. You look gorgeous, as usual.”

He reached down, grabbed her hand, and pulled her forward until she stopped just millimeters away from his body. Pierce bent down and brushed his lips against her cheek, sending a lick of fire down her spine. He moved his mouth over hers, which only ignited the flame in her body.

With a whimper, she pressed herself against him and rose on tiptoe to kiss him more fully. She sighed and opened her mouth, slipped her tongue out, and tracing a line along the seam between his lips. They parted to allow her tongue in for a deeper taste. A muffled groan was her reward. She felt his canines thicken and sharpen until they nearly drew blood when the brushed against her lips.

Madison wrapped her arms around Pierce’s neck and slipped a hand over his head, feeling the smoothness and heat of his skin against her palm. She could feel the hard planes of his body, even with the barrier of the silk shirt and wool pants he wore. She wanted to feel all that muscle and sinew against her body.

Her shoulder bite throbbed, and an insistent heat grew in the pit of her stomach. Her clit pulsed in time with her heartbeat, demanding attention. Her breasts ached for his touch. She groaned and lifted her leg to twine it around his. The pencil skirt she wore was too tight. She hated that she’d chosen to wear a waist cincher. It felt as if it weren’t allowing her take in enough air. Her blouse felt itchy and abraded her skin.

“Dinner is served.” Jessica brushed past the two of them. “Or are you two gonna keep letting in the flies and night air? I’m off to the movies. Enjoy!”

Rather than embarrassment, Madison felt amused. She gave Pierce another kiss and stepped back. Her stomach gave a growl and she gazed up at him.

“Time to eat.” She took his hand and led him into the house. “And then dessert.”

13 Days of Halloween: Renea Mason

SeGraphic

Hot Seat with Renea Mason

13 Days of Halloween Edition

I put out some Halloween oriented Petit Fours and some wine. I signal for the tuxedo clad Cabana Men to bring her in. Once she’s settled under the spotlight I get the interview started.

1) Happy Halloween! Will you be dressing up this holiday? Or do you just relax and admire all the costumes?

RM: Happy Halloween to you too!  Thanks for having me.

I’m not much for costumes, but I do love admiring how creative people can be.

SI: Me too! And you’re very welcome!

2) Your latest release Symphony of Light and Winter seems like the perfect book to curl up with and read while celebrating Halloween; A lover who comes back from the dead, sexiness, six sex mysterious men with a supernatural secret…. *clears throat* I it hot in here? Moving on, what can you tell us about Cyril, why should he be considered an Ultimate Halloween Hero?

RM: Well… Cyril is the calumniation of all things supernatural.  He’s a god-like, sometime sprouts wing like an angel, casts magic like a wizard, has fangs and leads a cabal of sexy otherworldly men.

He believes his existence has in someway sparked the greatest paranormal legends throughout time.

SI: Wow!

3) Your heroine Linden has a pretty cool gift of reading people. If you had her ability how would you use it during Halloween?

RM: I’m too pretty good at reading people, but just like Linden every now and then I’m thrown for a loop.  Halloween is all about wearing the mask, perhaps putting away the lens and simply pretending is the best approach.

SI: That’s an interesting take on it!

4) If you could be any Halloween Femme Fatale: Elvira, the Bride of Frankenstein, A vampire who would you be?

RM: Oooo…  That’s a tough one.  I think… Morticia Adams from the Adam’s Family.  Great family and passionate husband–who could ask for more?

SI: I LOVE Morticia! The Adams family rocks!

5) What would you say are your favorite Halloween treats? Ones you can only get during this time of year.

RM: Anything chocolate – Nestle Crunch, Milk Duds, Rollos

Thank goodness it’s only once per year.

SI: And now I want some chocolate, lol.

6) Werewolf, vampire or other? Who would you say is the Ultimate Halloween Creature of the Night?

RM: I was raised on Anne Rice so vampires are always at the top of the list.  There is something so powerful about a creature that can make someone beg for death.  The seductive nature of the vampire increases their deadliness.

SI: Vampires were my doorway drug to the paranormal, lol.

7) What would you say is your perfect Halloween night? Costume? Giving out candy or watching scary movies with your honey on the couch, popcorn and wine at hand?

RM: After a night of trick or treating with the kids, a large glass of wine while curled up on the couch  while watching “The Shining.”

SI: Nice!

8) If you were dropped into Linden and Cyril’s world which of the six guys would you pick and why?

RM: I would say Cyril, but his curse would make that impossible.  So of the remaining six…  Overton.  He’s sexy, sophisticated, kind, loyal, but still lethal.

SI: Overton sounds dreamy!

9) What do you have coming up that we can put on our must buy lists.

RM: Set to hit before the holidays, is a short story called The Impostor’s Kiss.  It’s about Cyril’s time in seventeenth century Scotland.  It can be read as a stand-alone story or as a supplement to the Symphony of Light Series.  There are subtle ties to Book Two in the Series, which is tentatively titled Between the Waters.  The second novel is still in progress but look for it first or second quarter next year.

SI: So. Can’t. Wait!

10) Please tell us where we can find you on the internet.

Thank you so much for wanting to do this Halloween inspired Hot Seat.

RM: Thank you so much for having me!

SI: Thank you for agreeing!

SymphonyofLightandWinter_ByReneaMason-200x300Symphony of Light and Winter from Etopia Press – released June 21st, 2013

One woman. Seven men. All bound by one man’s undying devotion.

Fundraiser Linden Hill has a knack for reading people. She always knows which conversations will put a prospect at ease, which drink will loosen a patron’s lips—or his wallet, and how cleavage will make a donor sweeten the deal. She’s even foreseen her dateless weekends four hundred and sixty-four times in a row.

But ten years after watching life drain from her former mentor’s and first love’s eyes, her skills for divining the predictable are lost. When Cyril returns, he’s still gorgeous, but this time he’s beyond human, far less dead, and pissed. His lack of memory drives him to desperate acts, and his turbulent re-acquaintance with Linden pulls her into his war with a creature hell-bent on his destruction. His group of six supernatural men share a tantalizing secret, but despite the hunger, it’s love that leads her to sacrifice everything to save him…

Love Paranormal Romance? Some readers have described it as Fifty Shades meets Twilight and the Black Dagger Brotherhood. While others say it reminds them of the Night Huntress or Dark Hunter series’. But most agree it’s unlike any paranormal romance they’ve read. What do you think?

A short excerpt to whet your appetite.

My amusement was interrupted by the absolute last thing I needed. Cyril. As if being in a room with a bunch of men who wanted me but didn’t know why and hated me for it wasn’t bad enough. In his black custom suit, he radiated power. He pulled at his cuff links as he stopped to survey the room.

Instead of trying to make my escape, I seized an opportunity to antagonize him. I was really starting to enjoy tormenting him.

“Good morning, Grim, it is nice of you to join us.”

“Grim. Ha! She called him Grim.” Rhys clapped his hands as he laughed.

Cyril didn’t acknowledge me or Rhys’s comment. He stood there for a very long time and looked around the room at each man. Nobody met his gaze but me. Cyril’s fists clenched at his side, jaw tight, and face furious.

“I warned all of you,” he addressed the room. He didn’t growl but rather wrapped his words with a subtle menace.

“Leave them alone. You know this is entirely your fault. If you would just think things through, you’d stop fucking everything up. I do have to say, of

all your fuckups, this one is certainly the most impressive and entertaining from my perspective.” I winked at Overton, who managed to glare at me even with his head practically bowed. Why were they so fucking subservient to him?

The next thing I knew, I was yanked from my seat and hoisted onto the counter. Cyril grabbed my ass and pulled me to the edge, forced my legs open, and stepped between them. He wrapped his arms around me and placed his head against mine. It wasn’t his voice I heard but rather his mind. It felt like when I talked to myself but somehow I knew it was him. Strange, he had tone and inflection while communicating.

“You need to stop showing off in front of my men. Yes, I fucked up, but do you really want them to give in to their urges? Do you think you can fend them off? I could toss you to them and see how far you get. Is that what you want? Maybe I should let them have their way with you and pull up a chair to watch. I want you to think about something before you start to defy me. I’m the only one who can keep you safe. So it’s best you stop being a smart-ass for five seconds and listen to me. I’m going to do something that will piss you off. I’m warning you now it’s for your own good. You need to go along with it, no matter how angry you are at me. Don’t fight me. I’ll try to fix this but until then, I need to take a few precautions.”

I wasn’t sure how to respond. If I thought something, could he hear me? Was this two-way communication? I tried to push him away.

He tightened his grip and his voice was in my head again.

“Stop it! Let me remind you that I have a special connection with these men. Not only can I read their thoughts but I can’t block them. I don’t have to try to receive them. I know exactly what each person in this room, besides you of course, is thinking right now.”

So that’s what Overton meant when he said Cyril had ways of finding out.

“The thoughts that assaulted me when I entered this room would make a porn star blush; every one of their little fantasies featured you.”

I giggled.

The voice growled. “Don’t laugh. I won’t pretend I’m not jealous and angry. I am. But if you knew the things they were thinking you’d better understand why I need to do what I’m about to do. Do you see Dominic over there? Let’s just say his tastes run a little dark. Ever spend considerable time naked with your hands bound behind your back and a ball gag in your mouth? He’s picturing you that way, this very instant.”

I stiffened. That didn’t at all appeal to me.

“Thor seems to think that you’d enjoy all of us taking you at the same time.”

And he seemed so quiet and sweet.

“Sinclair wants to shove his cock down your throat until you choke, all the while telling you how it’s your entire fault. Rhys is thinking of how you would look sprawled out on the hood of his new sports car, and Overton…”

“NO!” I yelled.

It seemed like a violation of privacy with Overton. Unlike the others, I considered him a friend. I respected him too much.

“See, like it or not, I’m going to tell you what he’s thinking since it pisses me off the most. He thinks I’m going to fuck you right here on this counter, to lay my claim. Once he gets past the fantasies of watching me fuck you, which he finds exceptionally arousing…”

There was a momentary pause to the voice and when he started again, he was angry.

“He then knocks on your bedroom door after you run crying from the room. You invite him in and he holds you in his arms while you cry about how I violated and humiliated you. He wants to comfort you. He wants to be your savior. He wants to save you from me. But he knows he can’t.”

I felt the moment he left my head, because a sudden wave of dizziness came over me.

With no more words, he tilted his head and placed his lips against mine. I fought the rigidity that tried to seize my body. I knew it was best to give in. I wouldn’t fight him, but I knew every time he got close, I ran the risk of losing myself. I was still way too angry to just give up.

His lips danced with mine as he nestled himself between my open thighs.

Was Overton right? How far would he take it? If it did go too far, would I be able to stop him? He was such a fucking weakness for me I honestly didn’t think I would.

He was gentle and softly stroked my back as his tongue made love to my mouth. With one hand he cupped my ass and pulled me flush against him, and with the other he reached up, cupped my breast, and squeezed hard. His kiss grew frantic and I became caught up in the sensation, forgot where I was, and that I had an audience. He pushed me hard against his erection as he rubbed himself rhythmically against my core. “You are mine. You belong to me. Now say it! Let them all know who you belong to.”

Was he kidding? I hesitated.

He ran his fangs up the side of my neck in warning. He whispered in my ear, “Say it. You need to say it. Let them hear it come from your lips.” His hand drifted from my breast to the hem of my nightgown and pulled up one side so it rested in the crease where my leg met my hip.

Somehow the part of me that knew he was right surfaced, and the stubborn part of me took a momentary vacation. If I was his, they wouldn’t dare defy him. It would keep me safe.

His fingers toyed with the edge of my panties before tugging the fabric to the side to allow him to stroke my moist skin. He positioned himself at the juncture between my legs, allowing my naked flesh to gather friction from his cloth-covered cock.

“Yes, Cyril, I’m yours.”

With that, he struck. His fangs pierced my neck. The second of pain from his bite passed and the pleasure grew, igniting my veins with liquid desire. One arm tightened around me, pulling me harder

against his cock. The other held my head while he sucked harder. Each pull he took was linked to the sensitive place between my legs. He ground his hips into mine and I moaned. The first wave of climax hit, tensing muscles and pushing my breath out in a rush. This was new. He could do this just by biting me?

I shook in his arms as he drank. Tremor after tremor seized me as he took his fill. I was so caught up in the sensation I only vaguely noticed the moans and growls that escaped from behind his teeth. With one final pull, and a thrust of his hips, he finished with a crushing embrace as he removed his teeth from my neck.

“Mine!” he roared. He enveloped me in his arms and held me close. He dipped his head to lick closed the small punctures on my throat.

I threw my head back. My breathing slowed as the cloud that had invaded my head receded.

Son of a bitch! I just came in front of everyone while sitting on the kitchen counter!

I was afraid to open my eyes but when I did, he stared back.

He nuzzled my cheek. “I’m sorry. I only want to protect you. If you’re mine, no one will dare touch you. I needed to lay my claim but I didn’t want to take anything you hadn’t already offered. Since you’ve replenished me before I thought this might be more acceptable.”

I was angrier with myself than him.

He caressed my arms and back. When I mustered enough courage to look around, we were the only

people in the kitchen, with the exception of Overton, who stood in the doorway holding the keys to my car.

Cyril softly lifted my chin so that my eyes would meet his. “Again, I’m sorry. I know I end up saying that far too often. But I need you to know, hearing those words from your lips…ah, hell. I can’t even explain it. Perhaps someday, you’ll utter them in truth.”

He placed his forehead against mine, took a deep breath. “Fuck. Maybe Overton is right. Maybe someone should save you from me.”

Meet Sylvia Shults

Blurb:

Opposites attract — but sometimes it takes a while!
Meet Selena Goode. She’s an herbalist, she runs a small museum in Salem, and she’s a practicing solitary Wiccan. She likes her life, quiet as it is.

Then Brian Gottschalk comes barreling into it with the force of an Atlantic storm. He works for a ghost-hunting TV show, and he’s in Salem to find a story. He’s witty, charming … and a total jerk.
Selena has no problem with ghosts. She does, however, have a problem with Big-City Brian. It will take all his charm, plus the silent advice of a caring ghost, to make Selena realize that maybe, big-city isn’t so bad after all.
Both laugh-out-loud funny and edge-of-your-seat suspenseful, Double Double Love & Trouble is a sexy, humorous romp from an author at the top of her game. Let it cast its spell over you.
An Excerpt:

Milk. Eggs. Fresh spinach. A half-full jar of applesauce. Random condiments. Leftover tomato soup.

Selena stood in front of the open refrigerator, tapping a fingernail lightly against her teeth as she thought. A spinach omelet? She wasn’t in the mood to rinse and chop the leaves as finely as she liked them done. Tomato soup? That sounded lovely, but any self-respecting bowl of tomato soup should really have a grilled cheese sandwich on the plate next to it, and she was out of cheese. She wasn’t sure that she had any bread left, either.

Selena sighed and let the refrigerator door swing shut. She wasn’t all that hungry, and nothing looked good enough to justify the effort of heating it up. It was just as well. She shouldn’t be eating this late in the evening anyway.

A cup of tea would go down nicely, though. She filled the kettle and put it on the stove. Then she reached for the special recipe book that she kept on a shelf with her other cookbooks. This book hadn’t been written by Emeril, Rachael, Martha, or any other celebrity chef. It was hers alone, a collection of healing recipes and spells she had come across over the years and copied down into her own personal notebook. Technically it was a grimoire, or a Book of Shadows, she supposed, but she preferred to think of it as her very own copy of Advanced Potion Making, in a nod to J.K. Rowling. The seven books of the Harry Potter series were some of her favorites, for obvious reasons.

She ran her fingers gently over the Celtic knot work design embossed on the green leather cover, then opened the book. She flipped through it, paging past handwritten recipes for healing ointments, purifying potions, herbal cough syrups, and endless lists of teas. She stopped at a recipe for Calming Peace Tea. “ ‘For when you are completely stressed out and need desperately to unwind, calm down, and relax.’ Yup, that’s me right there,” she said to the empty kitchen.

She rummaged in the cupboard where she kept her collection of herbs, measuring what she needed and dumping it all into the teapot with the strainer built into the spout. She had to go back and look at the recipe several times. She had all the ingredients she needed, that wasn’t the problem. The problem was that her mind refused to focus on the tea preparations. Her attention kept wandering off to Brian, of all people. Her mind kept replaying the more mortifying things he’d said that afternoon, as if it couldn’t let the experience go. As if she needed constant reminders of what an annoying, self-centered jerk he was.

“’Would you prefer a broomstick?’ Honestly!” she fumed. She gave the lid of the lavender jar an especially violent twist, and it hopped out of her hand and clattered to the floor. She stooped to retrieve it, muttering unpleasant things under her breath.

The song of the kettle interrupted her thoughts, which had been chasing themselves in a circle anyway. She turned off the flame, silencing the shrill whistle. She took a deep breath and let it out in a cleansing whoosh, and shook her hands out loosely to dispel any negative energy. Then she picked up the kettle and poured the boiling water over the herbs in the teapot.

She set the kitchen timer for ten minutes, then pulled out the chair at the table and sat. She closed her eyes for a quick meditation, trying once more to calm her racing thoughts. “Remember the Rule of Three,” she murmured. All witches needed to remind themselves of that cardinal rule of Wiccan behavior every so often. “Whatever you do will come back to you threefold.” She really didn’t need irritating thoughts roiling through her mind as she was trying to concentrate on brewing a tea called Calming Peace. And she certainly didn’t need three times the aggravation she already had.

The timer dinged, and Selena hopped up to get a cup. She poured the brew into her favorite mug, the one with the cows on the side. She wrapped her hands around the mug’s warm sides, closed her eyes, and sniffed deeply, inhaling the tea’s gentle —

She frowned, opened her eyes, and peered at the tea. She had made Calming Peace Tea countless times before, and it had never turned out that color.

And what was that smell? She sniffed at the tea again. Oh, this could not be right. This wasn’t right at all.

The main ingredients in the calming tea were lavender and violet flowers, two herbs that were very relaxing. The tea was supposed to have a light floral scent.

This tea, on the other hand, smelled a whole lot like lemon. And mint. Together.

Ewww.

Selena grabbed the containers off of the counter and looked at the labels. Lemon balm. Lavender. Peppermint. Peppermint, for the love of toast! What was she doing putting peppermint in a calming brew? She stared at the jars in her hand, then took another look at the recipe book.

On the page opposite the recipe for Calming Peace tea was a love potion. And the first three ingredients? Lemon balm. Catnip. And peppermint.

Selena groaned in frustration. She must have combined the two recipes. A calming love potion? Hah. Like that could even exist. She’d been so caught up in thinking about Brian that she had managed to completely screw up a recipe she’d been making for years.

She didn’t even want to consider the possibility that her subconscious had prompted her to start brewing a love potion. She wasn’t the least bit interested in that arrogant prick, and that was final. And no half-baked love potion was going to change her mind. She wasn’t about to drink it anyway. Eurggh.

She sighed, and left the cup on the counter. In the morning, when the tea had cooled, she’d water plants with it. Even though it was completely, totally wrong, she had made it with intent. She couldn’t just pour it down the kitchen sink. But she knew better than to drink anything involving peppermint right before bedtime. No, she would have to use her other favorite relaxing, self-hypnosis, falling-asleep-quickly trick.

Hugh Jackman.

Hugh was the current favorite to star in her going-to-sleep fantasies. As soon as her head hit the pillow, he was there, ready to please her in whatever way her imagination could cook up. She and Hugh would usually indulge in a whole lot of luscious foreplay, which was really relaxing when performed in the privacy of one’s mind, rather than arousing as it was in real life. Selena was usually asleep by the time they got to any hot and heavy stuff. But that was the great thing about having a fantasy lover. Hugh didn’t care if she fell asleep in the middle of sex. In fact, she considered it his job to send her off to sleep in the nicest way possible.

Selena snuggled under the covers and arranged her pillow just the way she liked it. She sighed as her head sank into the soft embrace of the goose down. It had been a long, sorely trying day, but Hugh was about to make it alllll better.
