A Small AAD Recap and Stuff

Hi everyone! First a fair bit of warning, I?m in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) Mode so my brain cells are evaporating and disappearing on me. ?I hope you enjoyed the Cougar Challenge Week Guest Blogging week. Thank You all, both the authors and the readers who stopped by and commented. *Grin*

Soon I?ll be rounding up more victims, erm, guest bloggers, yeah that’s it, for my Paranormal Thanksgiving Flash Story week. *Grin* I look forward to what everyone comes up with. *rubs hands together gleefully*

So I?m supposed to blog about the Author?s After Dark Convention which took place the weekend of Oct. 23rd to the 24th.

First of all I?d like to thank Jacquelyn Frank, Stella Price and Bianca D?Arc for creating such a wonderful and fun Convention.

In my short time as a published author I?ve been to three Cons: RT, Lori Foster?s Get Together and AAD. Out of all of them, I have to honestly say AAD is my favorite. The atmosphere was casual but energetic. Does that make sense? Let me try again. Have you ever been to a party where everything is just easy going but there is a feeling in the air of excitement and anticipation? I believe that is what I?m trying to convey here and that is what AAD was to me.

AAD was a nonstop party that I didn?t want to leave. Come Sunday, I was tired but still ready to go. LOL. The whole event was very well organized. I can?t really say what my favorite part of the whole event was because I loved it all. But the one thing that stands out the most in my mind was the Masquerade Ball. So many wonderful costumes and creativity on display, here are a few examples of some of the fantastic costumes:

A little birdie told me that there will be a costume contest next year. I?m so excited about that. So, that?s one thing you have to look forward to next year. You are going to be there right? Right? Don?t make me withhold my Tartan wolfies. Just Kidding! You think. :-P

Check out www.authorsafterdark.net for updates. The new website will be up in Dec. 09.

Check out www.authorsafterdark.blogspot.com for how you can win a Goodie Bag from the Con.

Okay, my brain cells are demanding rest but before I go, check out this Cover of The Cranberries Zombie by the Metal Flamenco Band Breed 77.

Cool yes? I wasn’t sure at first but I now love it.

Have a Great Week everyone!

Se (who is slowly losing her mind to NaNo)

Polls and Other Stuff

Good Evening Everyone!

I hope your weekend is going well.?There are three new polls. Two close on the 22nd, the third is on-going. ?Two have to do with the Authors After Dark Convention (Oct 23rd-24th) and the last one has to do with the Vampiropolis series. ?On Monday the Urban Fantasy Week kicks off and I can’t wait for you to see some of the wonderful posts.

I’m thinking of starting a guest blogging series called Sunday Spotlight where an author gets to spotlight their series, news, whatever. Not sure yet, still mulling it over. I still have to put up the Lizzie Lynn Lee interview and Artist Corner.

I also found out that Tease will be putting out Pixie on the 15th of October. *Big Grin* Can’t wait to share it with you.

Anyway, I have to go do a bit of writing. Have a great weekend everyone!

Se

P.S. I just wanted to give you a heads up. Ulta is doing a wonderful thing for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
