2. I use WLs to keep track of books I want, but I can use that or the throw a dart method. I have a large range of authors I buy from.

1) It would be nice to be able to preorder.
2) Sometimes do just to remind me that I haven’t bought them or that I’m still waiting for those to be published.
1. I usually don’t pre-order books. I usually wait until it comes out.
2. I have used wish lists for my ebooks on one site. For others, I just check periodically or I am already aware of a particular book being available as I tend to keep up with my favorite authors.
I recently pre-ordered a book.
I forgot where I pre-ordered it and
all the information about it. I didn’t write it down anywhere. My BAD. But I will never pre-order a book again unless it is guaranteed to be sent to me without anything else on my part.

1. Yes, I’ll buy if preordering is available but in the long run it doesn’t make a difference. If it’s a book that I want, I’ll buy it when available.

To answer your questions: a) I don’t generally pre-order a book, I just buy it if it looks interesting; and b) I don’t use wish lists personally, but I can see where they can come in handy for keeping track of books you might be interested in buying.
1. No, probably not for e-books. Too uncertain on release date, most of the time.
2 Yes, most definitely. Since I can’t read or afford all the books I want to read, making wish lists helps me remember which books I still need to read.
It’s a good selling point to have wish lists. When they are not available I tend to forget about the books I want to read and if I cannot remember, I cannot buy.
