Contract News

I am pleased to annouce that Loose-Id has accepted my story Trapped and that I just sent in the contract. *Grin* *Throws confetti* I’m so excited, I can’t stop grinning.

Selena

Hello everyone!

Whew, it’s been hot lately. I hope everyone is keeping cool. Well I just finished an MS and subbed it and I’ve started Tartan Twins, I’m already at 6k and that’s just the prologue. *Grin* I’m hoping to finish TT by the end of the week and start another story next week. For next month I plan on going back and rewritting the beginning of Pot of Gold. Also, out next month is Discovering Passion, Lida Sandros’ story. You may remember Lida from A Fling in Vampiropolis. She gets her own story and I’m waiting to hear back about the story I wrote for Renato, Lucian and Lida’s brother.

I should be annoucing the winners of the Birthday Bash contest soon. Sorry I haven’t done that yet, it’s been so hot and I’ve been scrambling to finish one story and start TT. I just need to pick two other winners for boxes 2 and 3. :-) .

If you haven’t gotten Tartan Surprise you can win a copy. On July 27th, I am participating in The Romance Studio’s Book A Day Giveaway. *Grin*

I also have to work on the site, add pages for the Vampiropolis series, Tartan Werewolves (I call it that), Hades’ Helmet Crew and Family Heirlooms. I also have to see if Ce has the time to do a bit of work on the site.

I’m excited to annouce that Kate Douglas will be August’s Author of the Month and in September (just in time for Break of Dawn) the fabulous Crystal Green/Chris Marie Green will be the Author of Month. *Grin*

Okay, gotta go work on Tartan Twins. Keep cool, if there is any news I’ll post it. Hugs all around.

Author Corner with Selena Illyria

Hey everyone!

Well I’m almost done with the MS Touch Me, only 1k+ to go and adding a few bits and pieces here and here. I hope everyone is having a great week and finding ways to stay cool. Today it’s supposed to get up to 95 but supposedly relief is coming this weekend with thunderstorms and rain. I hope so. I don’t mind heat but the humidity makes things worse.

I’ll be doing an Author Corner at Savannah Chase’s Group today from 6pm-8pm(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/savannahchase/). Stop by, say hi, check out excerpts and ask questions and run Amok with me. :-) . Here’s the poster Sav created for me:

background_ebay_large-1.png

Has anyone checked out Dr. Horrible? OMG, got to see Acts 1 and 2 and am loving it. Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion singing, whoo hooo! Check it out here:

http://www.drhorrible.com/index.html

I can’t wait to see Act 3. *Grin*

What else is going on in my world? Hmmm nothing else. I still have at least two other MS (manuscripts) to finish after Touch Me (working title) and then back to the grindstone in  August. This month I plan on subbing 4 stories. I’ve got 1 subbed and now just got to finish the other 3, wish me luck that I don’t go mad. Good news is I’ve got an idea for Aki’s story, but that’s not until August. This month I’ve got Tartan Twins (3rd book in the Tartan Werewolves series) and Marry Me. Good thing is TT is supposed to 15k unless someone butts in and decides they want more. Marry Me is 25k. Cross your fingers I finish everything on my list.

Let’s see anything else? Hmmm . . . nothing, at least I don’t think anything. Oh yeah, last day to enter the Birthday Bash Contest. :-) . Good luck.

One question before I go.

What is your definition of seduction?

That question has been on my mind for some time now. So, I’d like to hear your thoughts.

Hugs all around,

Selena

P.S. Would you like a sneak peek at what I’m working on? Oh and is there anyone else excited about the new Slipknot album out in August? *Grin*

You know I hate when I start getting ideas for topics to blog about when I say I’m done. Buuuut, question, what do you guys think should I change the background on the website? I gotta ask Ce if there are other options. Not that I do lurve the current one but a little change is nice every once in awhile. *Smile*

Two New Contracts

I just got two new contracts for two books with Changeling Press. The Books are:

With His Mind

I/R, Psychic

and

At Drogan’s Command

I/R, Sci Fi, Light Bondage

Squee! I’m so excited. *Grin* As soon as I get the release dates I’ll post them. :-)

Hugs all around,

Selena

Author Spotlight: Saskia Walker

Bio:

Award winning British author Saskia Walker first dreamed of writing her own stories when she discovered a handful of romance novels stashed away in her school library. An avid reader, she lapped up the fun, the adventures, and the life-affirming emotion of these stories, but always felt dismay when the bedroom door closed the reader out. She vowed that if she ever had the chance to pursue her dream, all the passion would be right there on the page.
Saskia finally began writing seriously in the late 1990s. By that time she’d traveled the world, got herself a BA in Art History, a Masters in Literature and the Visual Arts, and she’d worked in all manner of diverse careers—but the stories in her head simply had to be written.
Her first erotic short story was signed in ’97 and since then she’s had several single title novel and novella publications. Her work has also appeared in over fifty anthologies including Best Women’s Erotica, The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica, and the Black lace Wicked Words series. She writes across genres, but always with the passion right there on the page! Her first full-length novel, DOUBLE DARE, received the Passionate Plume award for the Best Contemporary Erotic Romance of 2006.
Saskia lives in the north of England—close to the beautiful, windswept landscape of the Yorkshire moors—with her real life hero, Mark. Mark supports her work through all its ups and downs, and somehow manages to keep her sane and grounded when fiction threatens to take over.

RECKLESS

BLURB:
At the age of twenty-nine, London valuation expert Katrina Hammond is evolving into a stronger, more sexual woman. When she subsequently finds herself at the center of a struggle for power and dominance between two brothers, she welcomes the darkly erotic charge the situation brings.
Katrina’s job is to value a collection of art objects for auction in the Catalonia villa of the Teodoro family, where Sergio Teodoro rules. Sergio is a dominant master who compels her attention. Nicolas, his younger brother – a disinherited artisan – also seeks her out. As Katrina uncovers the subterfuge surrounding the collection, she finds that there is more to Nicolas and Sergio’s battle than meets the eye, and more to her growing allegiances than may be good for her.
Excerpt:

Katrina glanced down into the hallway, where the shadows were far too mobile for her liking, as if the ghosts of the house were about to emerge. Stepping quickly across the half landing, she went upstairs to the wing where the bedrooms were located. Pausing at the end of the corridor she noticed that the wall lights were now switched off, only the occasional ceiling lights every ten feet or so illuminated the corridor, which gave it even more of an air of mystery than the office area.
Except for the sound of crickets outside, all was quiet, but the scent of the night was heavy in the air. The moist plants outside the windows omitted a heady smell, made stronger after the gardener had watered the foliage beneath the windows at sundown. She breathed it in, noticing the aromas of earth and the eucalyptus trees from farther away, mingling in with the scent of the garden. As she watched, the night breeze shifted the curtains at the open windows between the doorways. The long swathes of sheer fabric lifted eerily in time, one after the other, like the tide along the shore. It was a ghostly image and it reminded her of any number of scary movies. This corridor felt even spookier then the rest of the place, as if an unknown presence lurked by.
The curtains lifted again. The skin on her back prickled, and Katrina felt herself becoming aware of all the lives that had been lived here, the people who had walked these corridors in years gone by. It was a beautiful house, but a strange one too—a house full of secrets and ghosts.
She clutched her laptop bag against her chest and tiptoed quietly along the corridor. As she did, she heard a sound. She paused, but other than the movement of the curtains, all was still. She walked on.
A door to her left, at the rear of the house, was ajar. She kept walking, eager to get to her room. As she passed the open door, her footsteps slowed. She could see a large bed and beyond it a desk. Sergio was sitting at the desk, working, but with the door open. Was he waiting to catch her as she walked by? If so, she wasn’t ready for that, not now. Could she creep past unseen? Cautiously, and as stealthily as she could, she moved on. When she reached her door and had her hand on the handle, she glanced back down the corridor to see if Sergio had emerged. Her breath caught in her throat. There was someone standing there in the half-light, but it wasn’t Sergio.
At the end of the landing where she’d been just moments before, stood Nicolas Teodoro. At first glance she thought she was imagining it, that she had conjured forth an image from the shadows to satisfy her desire for him. But no, he really was there.
Dressed entirely in black and still as a statue, he looked like a cat burglar. Is that what he was, a forbidden intruder here? He was watching her intently, his eyes black in the dim light, his unruly hair falling forward. She sensed that he was ready to act. How, to take flight if she raised the alarm? Confusion riddled through her, and that wasn’t all that she was feeling. He looked so darkly sexy and she’d been held in those arms, felt those lips on hers—a forbidden liqueur that she had tasted in a dark street during the festival.
Why was he here, now?
He put his fingers to his lips and at first she thought it was a signal to be quiet, but then he turned those fingers toward her and mouthed a kiss, winking at her. Katrina’s legs felt shaky under her and she gripped the door handle tighter. As if she hadn’t been aroused enough the night before, here he was making a secret connection with her, reminding her of what had happened between them.
Glancing from Nicolas back to the open door halfway between them on the other side of the corridor, she could scarcely breath. If Sergio emerged now, he’d see them both, he might even guess she’d had contact with his disinherited brother, the brother she had been warned about.
Nicolas followed her glance, and then gestured at her, nodding and indicating that she should go into her room. Then he tapped his chest and pointed at her door. Katrina stared at him. He couldn’t be serious? He was going to just walk down there to her, past the open door, past his estranged brother?
No. He stepped quickly to the nearest window on the front side of the house. Signaling again, a master of mime, he indicated to her that he meant to come to her room from the outside of the building.
Her concern ratcheted. The balconies were too far apart, surely? That would be even more dangerous than walking past Sergio’s open doorway. But before she could even react he was climbing out the window, and as she watched his fit rear end disappear through it she couldn’t decide what unsettled her more—that he was risking the climb, or that he would appear in her room at the end of it.
Her legs swayed, she felt suddenly weak. He was scaling the outside of a building aiming for her window. He wasn’t supposed to be there at all, not in the middle of the night, and especially not in her room.
Go in and refuse him, lock the windows to the balcony. Even as she thought it, she knew she had no intention of doing so. She had to know what he was going to say. The way he’d held her in Barcelona and the way he’d touched her, all of it echoed through her senses, and she staggered against the wall as she went inside and closed the door, pressing it closed and holding it that way, as if that would ground her.
The curtains wafted in the breeze and she stared at them, not daring to blink as she watched the moonlight filtering into the room—until she saw a shadow move at the edge of the balcony.
What if her clients found her talking to him, in here, in their home? There was still time to run over there and bar the window before he got inside. But Katrina didn’t want to lock him out, and as she watched the shadow climbing onto her balcony in the moonlight, her heart raced, her body suffused with anticipation.

Embracing Midnight by Devyn Quinn Preview

Chapter One

Literally and figuratively, Iollan Drake had given feds the finger. And that was pissing Callie Whitten off. Time and time again the outlaw she was supposed to be tracking had turned the tables, dodging the night’s stakeout. Despite her team’s best efforts, Drake always seemed to be one step ahead.
“Maybe tomorrow.”
Muttering under her breath, Callie reached out and punched the call button for the elevator. Bone tired, she checked the clock in the lobby. Three-thirty in the morning. Too late to be out, and too early to get up. A little groan escaped her lips. Goddamn. Another day gone and agents still weren’t any closer to cornering their quarry. Drake’s talent for appearing and disappearing seemingly at will was puzzling—and enviable.
Gaze dropping, Callie caught a brief glimpse of her face in the shiny doors. A thatch of messy blond hair ruled over bloodshot kohl-lined eyes, painted cheeks and a mouth slashed with crimson. A figure shaping bustier, leather mini-skirt, laced leather wrist cuffs, and Victorian style boots completed her outfit.
The image didn’t matched the woman inside, part of the reason the Bureau had picked her for this assignment. Her ability to change from grunge to glam in the blink of an eye meant she was able to work most any type of undercover operation. Her lack of husband and children was another. Callie was one of the few female agents ready to pack and leave on ten minute’s notice.
Where the hell was the elevator? The only thing she wanted right now was a hot shower and cool sheets, and that was taking far too long in arriving.
Losing patience, Callie burrowed inside her purse for a cigarette. With her nerves on the edge of frayed, quitting was a moot point. A shot of nicotine would help her relax. Extracting one from a crumpled pack, she put it between her lips. A way to light it eluded her. She dug deeper, sure she had a pack matches.
A man stepped up, his shoulder lightly brushing hers. Engrossed in her search, she hadn’t even noticed his arrival. “Allow me, please.”
His voice snapped her flagging senses to attention. Touched with an Irish brogue, his voice was familiar. Dangerously familiar.
Callie gasped. The man beside her was so drop dead gorgeous her heart skipped a beat. His presence, so riskily close, heated her skin as heavy awareness pulsed through her veins.
Iollan Drake. In the flesh. Right here. Right now.
All lean muscle and sinew, the outlaw was stunning. Thick hair brushed his brow. An unusual shade best described as pearlescent smoke, it settled in tousled layers around his chiseled face. Deep set eyes, wide strong nose and an absolutely sensual mouth ruled over a jaw brushed with stubble. Narrow hips and long legs were hugged by a tight pair of boot-cut Levis. A calf length denim duster and polished black boots finished his sleek, but casual style.
Drake looked devastating, much more appealing in person than the blurry photos she’d studied before joining the investigation. Solid, lean and muscular, he was handsome in an unusual edgy sort of way. His features weren’t perfect, but were arranged in such a way as to make him striking enough to countenance a second—and a third—look. The top button of his creamy silk shirt was undone, and below his beltline was a suggestive bulge she couldn’t possibly miss even if she’d wanted to.
Swallowing the lump in her throat, Callie tugged the cigarette from her mouth. Numb fingers curled around the fragile paper cylinder, crushing it. “No thanks. I changed my mind.” She dumped the remnants into the nearby receptacle, dusting off bits of lingering tobacco. “I’m trying to quit. That oral thing, you know—”
Pocketing his lighter, the outlaw smiled. The lithe way he moved compelled attention. “I understand. It’s a difficult habit to break.” Eyes a woman could drown in raked her body. Easily his most striking feature, the irises were a brilliant shade of copper, the pupil not quite round, but slightly oval. Odd, but strangely attractive. “I’m glad I caught you, though. I was afraid you’d gotten away from me.”
Gotten away?
Blindsided, Callie made a grab for her wits. She gave her head a shake to clear it. “I didn’t know you were looking for me.” Holy shit. Had the criminal pegged her as a federal agent? Self-preservation conflicted with the need to remain cool. Whatever move he might make, she needed to be ready to counter without hesitation. Her mind sidetracked to the fact that she was unarmed and had no backup whatsoever. Being caught alone with a sex trafficker and suspected killer wasn’t exactly an appealing thought.
He visually explored her, eyes lingering on her breasts pushed high and plump by her form shaping bustier, then back up to her face. “I’m always looking, Calista.”
She resisted the urge to fidget. He didn’t act the least bit hostile, dangerous, or savage. Loose and relaxed, his face reflected nothing more than friendly interest. “How do you know my name?”
His eyes skimmed over her again. “The tag you’re wearing,” he said in the accent sprinkled with a dusting of leprechauns and blarney. “That’s your name, I assume.”
His brash attitude shot through Callie like a bolt of electricity and her cheeks heated. Her ability for thinking fast on her feet seemed to have vanished. Calista wasn’t her real name, but close enough that she remembered to answer to it. Her cover as a waitress at Hell Bound Train, the Goth club Drake frequented, gave her access to all areas.
“Um, yes, it is. I usually don’t have men following me home from work just to ask about it though.”
“When I notice a beautiful woman, I want to know more about her.” His comeback was smooth, a heart stopping flash of charm.
Callie tried to detour around the remark. “I didn’t even think you’d glanced twice at me.”
He smiled. “Oh, I glanced. More than once, I assure you.” He stepped closer, holding out his hand. “And in case you want to know who your stalker is this evening, my name is Iollan Drake.”
As if she didn’t already know.
To be polite, Callie accepted his offering. Long graceful fingers curled around hers. His grip was sure, strong and firm. Much to her surprise he hadn’t pronounced his name the way it was spelled, ill-an, but had used a soft ‘y’ instead, you-lan. She liked the sound of it better then. Suddenly, coming from the lips of its owner, it was personal—belonging to more than the ink on a dry dossier.
“Unusual name.” Feeling his skin against hers, a thrill wove its way through her veins and her body temperature inched higher. If she let him, he’d easily seduce her with his easy manner and obvious charm. That was his goal, no doubt. She hoped he didn’t feel the tremble in her own hand.
“Around here, yes. But I’ve had it all my life, so I’m used to it.”
She grasped for an intelligent rejoinder and came up dry. “I guess you already know my name.”
“I do.” His grip tightened subtly. “And the pleasure is entirely mine.”
Flustered, Callie drew back her hand. She’d bet dollars to donuts this man didn’t have a problem charming women. His leading-man good looks and easy manner made him seem too good to be true. Were she not aiming to put him behind bars, she’d have been more than happy to be the object of his attention.
“Thanks.”
He let her hand go with seeming reluctance. “You’re most welcome.” The flash of white teeth revealed an alluring dimple.
Callie inwardly groaned, then coughed into her hand to cover her rude lapse. She loved dimples, would love to plant a soft kiss right at the corner of his fine mouth.
Swallowing over the lump in her throat, she took a step back. Widening the distance. She didn’t know what his motives were, but she suspected he was looking for something more than a late night diversion.
“Well,” she said. “I guess I should get going.”
His eyes clouded, then just as quickly cleared. “I don’t suppose there’s any chance I might get you to join me for a cup of coffee. It’s late, I know, and I probably haven’t got any right to ask.”
She forced a casual shrug. “No harm in asking.”
“Any chance I’ll get an answer?”
Callie stared into his expressive face. Her training as an agent had taught her to delve past words and study body language. His unexpected appearance notwithstanding, nothing in Drake’s manner hinted of intimidation. Trying to pick up a woman he’d seen in a bar was typical male behavior, partly opportunistic and partly sincere.
Except picking up women wasn’t his hobby. Flesh peddling was his profession. Then it dawned on her. He didn’t see her as a threat—but as a potential victim. Callie wasn’t one to flinch from the demands her job placed on her, but the idea of being alone with this man made her stomach clench. Not from fear. Desire.
The minefield she’d unexpectedly walked into was getting tricky. One false step and the situation could blow up in her face. She considered brushing him off, then quickly realized that wasn’t an option. She had to continue to play her role.
Backed into a corner, she made a play for a little more time to think. “I, ah, I’m not sure.”
Amused, his eyes crinkled at the edges, a hint of mischief woven with longing. “Perhaps you could use some help making up your mind.”
Giving no warning, Drake bridged the brief distance separating them. The air sizzled as his strong hands slid over her hips.
A strong sensual tug filled her. “What—” Callie started to protest, but he gave her no chance to continue. His mouth descended, forcible and warm, branding her in a way promising pleasure if only she’d submit. She was surprised at the sense of strength emanating from him. Arousal, unexpected, potent, and definitely forbidden, reared its head, delivering a thrilling hum that stretched all the way to her toes. Physical tension ratcheted up. He was good. Better than good. Superb.
A shudder ran through her. Instead of pulling back, Callie opened her mouth, allowing him to deepen the kiss. He stroked her tongue with his in a manner making it clear he’d also like to claim her.
A soft moan escaped her. Ropes of desire tangled around her whole body as the heat from his palms seeped through her tight leather skirt. Her skin crackled with the electricity of his touch. Heart pounding, her nipples hardened. She’d played scenes with Drake in her mind a thousand times, and not once had she ever imagined herself as a target of his seduction.
Without warning, the elevator clamored open, expelling a few early morning joggers. Disconcerted, Callie took a hasty step back, breaking their passionate embrace. The pair bustled by, heads turned and eyebrows notched in disapproval.
She ducked her head, swiping at her tingling lips in embarrassment. She’d lost her head, briefly succumbing to the excitement his kiss stirred inside her. No telling what would have happened if they hadn’t been interrupted. “I guess they didn’t approve.”
“Seems like.” Amusement danced in his eyes. “What about you? Not convincing enough?”
Think criminal, she reminded herself as a guard against his colossal appeal. “One kiss isn’t anything special.”
She started to reach for the elevator’s call button, but his light touch on her arm stopped her hand in mid-air. “I’d like it to be.”
Scalp prickling deliciously, her inner mercury shot up another notch, into the red zone. She’d have to tread carefully to stay one step ahead. “This is moving a little fast. I wasn’t expecting you to walk into my life tonight.”
A touch of wryness brushed his expression. “This wasn’t quite how I’d planned to ask you to spend a little time with me.” His hand slid down her arm, his fingers finding hers. “Or maybe it was.”
His words stroked the hunger deep inside. “Sounds like you know exactly what you want.”
“I do.” He leaned in, an inch or two closer. “Say you will.”
She hesitated. “I— I’m not sure…”
His hand squeezed hers. His intimate touch reminded her all over again of carnal hungers too long unfed. Desire became a palpable thing, creating a sheen of perspiration across her forehead and down her spine.
“It’ll be good.” He spoke intimately, his accented voice and entrancing copper eyes almost hypnotic. “I promise.”
Of that she had no doubt. The thought of his hands exploring her naked skin sent a fresh pulse of moisture straight to her core. Intensely aware of his touch, Callie felt as if she were burning up. His body heat seemed to enter through her lips and spread through her veins like molten lava.
Mind reeling, she pursed dry lips. The more she resisted, the harder he was going to try. “The least I can do is offer you a cup of coffee.”
Drake’s smile didn’t ease her tension. “That’s a start.”
Thoughts tumbling through her mind, Callie eyed him like one would a cobra; beautiful, mesmerizing, and absolutely lethal. Iollan Drake was suspected of kidnapping innocents with cold-blooded regularity, then selling them into the sex trade. Two far more experienced agents pursuing the human trafficking ring Drake operated had lost their lives.
She shivered. She’d been instructed to take whatever steps were necessary to gain his trust—be it by hook or crook. Her superiors hadn’t suggested using her own shapely ass. Dedicated to catching the bad guys, having sex with one had never entered her wildest fantasies. How far she intended to go, she didn’t dare to imagine. At the moment only one thing was for sure.
The night was about to heat up.

I’m a bad Blogger

I haven’t been updating you guys like I should. I’ll try to blog much more. I envy Savannah, she’s such a great blogger. *smile* Okay, here we go. Let’s try and pack as much into this as possible

Books:

Tartan Surprise is out which I’m so excited about, next up is Discovering Passion, in August ’08, which is Lida’ story from A Fling in Vampiropolis. I’ll get the exact date to you as soon as I get it.

In June I subbed a total of five books, three to CP and two to Tease and on July 1st I subbed a book to a new pub. I’m hoping they like it. I was really nervous about query letter and synopsis. I can write a book but blurbs, synopsis and query letters stress me out. But hey, they’re a part of the process.

For the last month or so I’ve been either tired, working my ass off to finish a book or suffering from writer’s block. Up until now, I haven’t written anything for a week which frustrated me a lot. But I finally managed to work on a story that I’m aiming to finish by Friday of this coming week. So far I’ve got 8k+ on it. It’s a ghost story, I’ve never done a ghost story before so this is all new to me. I hope I get it right.

My aim is to finish several stories by the end of the summer and subbing to at least two to three more new pubs. I know, a lot of work but at the end of the day, it’s worth it. I’m also working on making my Free stories downloadable, not the Friday Flash series though, not until that’s done. That’s about it on the writing front

Lori Foster’s Get Together:

I had fun at this event. It was so nice meeting so many people and seeing some people I had me at RT. The highlight seeing my twin from another mother, Ce! We were good I swear *shoots look over at Dawn*. Tell them Ce, we were well behaved.

I have to say Hi to Lena, Liz (good to see you again), Joy (you are awesome), Maggie, Kelly, Bianca (B!), Jacki (as always, you are fabulous), Maya, Marty, Tuesday (I’ll call you I swear. You are behaving right? lol), Laura K., Kelley, Jackie, Sierra (Big Hugs), Teeka (Teeka!), Kate, Camille, Flash, Renee, Shiloh, Rhonda aka SandDaz (sorry for the awkwardness), Anya, Ali and Aneka. If I forgot you, I’m soooo sorry, please feel free to yell at me later.

I loved the conference and had so much fun. Ce, Tuesday we sooo have to do an antho together. *grin* Tuesday, stop looking at me like that, you know you want to0, mwhahahaha! I definitely want to go next year. I also want to go RT next year as well. Shar, Ce you ready for that? I know I left a lot out but I can’t really remember everything. *sigh*

Birthday:

Well, I turned 27 this year. Yeah! My birthday started early when the fabulous Crystal Green/Chris Marie Green (she’s going to be at Comic Con and the RWA conference, I soos wish I was going), sent me a signed copy of Midnight Reign. I was in absolute shock. She is so awesome. I got a Birthday Card from Savannah (Big Hugs, babes). A lovely bag of chips from Tilly , (yum). *Grin* And yesterday, although late, I got flowers from Shar. She told me to expect a few more things. Goodness!

I pretty much spent the day wading through email, promoing Tartan Surprise and doing the chat over at ARe. *Grin* That chat was so much fun! I want to do it again. I’ll try and arrange another one maybe this month or next. A special to Thank You to Shar for staying up late just to do the chat. Another special Thank You to everyone who stopped by and spent my Birthday with me.

My birthday was made all the more special by Jambrea who showed me the book review she did for A Fling in Vampiropolis for Joyfully Reviewed. I was so ecstatic by it. That really helped make my Birthday great.

I got an ice cream cake the next day: cookies and cream ice cream with Devil’s Food Cake. A real ice cream cake! One that isn’t ice cream in the shape of a cake. Man, I want another one. LOL

I know it sounds like a boring Birthday but it was good enough for me. I like the simplicity of it. Not too much expectation which I’m good with. I didn’t go see Wanted like I wanted too. It was opening weekend which would mean dealing with too many people. I am hoping to go to see either Batman: Dark Knight or Hellboy 2 or both. LOL

Movies and TV:

What else can I add? Hmmm . . . nothing more, I don’t think. I’m watching the Twilight Zone, absolutely brilliant. I can understand why they wanted to resurrect the series but, sorry if it doesn’t have Rod Serling, I really can’t bring myself to watch it. The Twilight Zone is classic, brilliant story telling.

Speaking of TV, is anyone watching In Plain Sight? I’m loving that show. I also can’t wait for Burn Notice, Psych and Eureka to come back. I’m starting to enjoy So, You Think You Can Dance and America’s Best Dance Crew.

I’ve seen the trailer they’re running for Heroes next season. I love the series but I was left feeling as if the show is lacking something. Maybe it was adding too many characters or the sudden character shift (Uh, Hiro what about Charlie?). I’m hoping this season makes up for what was missing last season.

I can’t wait for Chuck to come back on air, I love that show. And NCIS, noooo, you can’t do that! OMG! I can’t wait to see what they do with Lost, that finally was just, WOW! Okay, can’t think of any other shows and I think I’ve started babbling. LOL. Later’s guys.
